Transparency
Here is how we handle money.
We are asking people to trust us with funds and materials before we have a finished project to show. The least we can do is tell you exactly how the money is controlled.
Our controls
- Board approval
- Our board approves material commitments and any transaction involving a related party.
- Written conflict-of-interest disclosures
- Officers disclose conflicts in writing. Our officers work in construction. That is useful, and it is exactly why the disclosure rule exists.
- A separate nonprofit bank account
- Charitable funds are held in the organization’s own account with its own accounting records. Never in a personal account.
- Two-person review
- Significant disbursements get a second set of eyes before the money moves.
- Restricted gifts stay restricted
- If you give for a specific purpose, it is tracked and used only for that purpose.
- We keep the paper
- Receipts, invoices, contracts, permits, and donation records are retained.
- No personal use of charitable assets
- Ever.
- Filings on time
- Annual federal and state filings are completed on schedule.
- Minutes
- Board minutes document major program and financial decisions.

What we have not done yet
We think this belongs on the same page as the controls.
Living Stone Homes was formed on July 21, 2025. For 2025 we reported no program operations, no employees, no public donations, and no direct charitable activities. Our first project is in planning.
There are no impact numbers on this website because there is no impact to report yet. When there is, it will be here, and it will be documented.
